Talented Producer & DJ duo Los Padres teams up with Luxtides who is making her 2022 vocal debut with ‘Staying,’ a sing-a-long anthem that’s written for the hopeless romantic in all of us.

Luxtides intoxicating vocals grab the listener from the first phrase. The emotion in her voice captures the moment when two people, destined to be together, lock eyes for the first time. Los Padres perfectly craft a texture-rich soundscape with electric piano, rhythm guitar, and smooth bass. Their double drop has listeners dancing and bopping from start to finish. Los Padres musical elements and Luxtides’ vocals effortlessly coalesce to form a union of sound. Even after several listens, it’s nearly impossible to tell which came first, as they seem to only exist seamlessly merged together. Luxtides songwriting is exceptional, as we’ve come to expect from all of Danni Bouchard’s projects. Her lyrics will resonate with anyone who has made that jump from “like’’ to “love” with someone special in their life. She delivers each phrase in a manner more authentic than both her peers and contemporaries.

Before Luxtides, Bouchard’s previous endeavor Oh Honey (Fueled By Ramen/Atlantic) garnered millions of streams through dozens of sync placements and multiple tours with artists like The Fray and Ingrid Michaelson. She builds on that momentum with Luxtides, penning darker, dreamier songs that soundtrack her experiences with heartache, mental illness, & finding her voice. Releasing songs in conjunction with the moon phases, her single “Fragile” was featured on Train Tracks on SiriusXM The Pulse. She has also landed syncs on various TV shows including Insatiable (Netflix), The Hills: New Beginnings (MTV), and Terrace House (Netflix). Her live show walks the line between dreamy and cathartic and she has opened for such acts as lovelytheband and Young Rising Sons. “Staying” is Los Padres’ first single of 2022 and the biggest move we’ve seen from their project. They’re riding the momentum generated from spectacular remixes with R3HAB, Sigala, JP Cooper, Lukas Graham, Laidback Luke, Two Friends, and Cheat Codes. Luxtides is the moniker of Brooklyn-based indie pop artist and songwriter Danni Bouchard, the vocalist behind Afrojack & David Guetta’s GRAMMY®-nominated “Hero.” Both Los Padres and Luxtides have made their first big splash for 2022. We know this song will be staying on everyone’s brain and having us all looking forward to what will come next for these exceptional artists.
